So yes, I have decided to start a blog. Sad I know. Sad that somewhere inside I feel, even if it is deep inside the recesses where I won't even admit it to myself, that 'this blog is going to be different', 'this blog is going to be unique', 'this blog people will read, be inspired by, be brought to tears by, will change their lives'. Isn't that what we all really feel deep down? Isn't that primarily the motivation behind these things? No? It is just me? Ok then. Well, if it ends up not saving the world somehow, I do hope that maybe this forum will afford me the opportunity to get some things off of my chest and to speak out even if no one is listening. Because isn't that at least better than not speaking out at all?

So what to expect out of me on this 'greatest of all blogs'? Well, I like to think of myself as a deep thinker who is a little creative and a little unique. I love contemplating and discussing in great detail topics as varying as politics, religion (are the two really that different? really?), movies, music, sports (LOVE football and am coincidentally a HUGE Colts fan!), and well anything else that happens to strike my fancy for more than a second or two. I realize that blogs are mostly a one directional medium. I post my thoughts, you read them (or not) and that pretty much ends the deal. With that said, I would love any feedback I can get; good, bad or indifferent. Maybe with enough 'group think' we can make this the 'greatest blog ever' (there is that hidden id at work again). Oh, and one last little note if you haven't yet picked up on this, I am a huge fan of the parenthetical.

Ok, so we have a start. We have the inaugural 'blog' as it were (where are the streamers I was promised?). Hopefully I can motivate myself to continue this on a regular basis. I am thinking daily? Maybe I should start with weekly and work my self up to daily. Just 'keepin it real'. What ever the case, I do hope you (the ubiquitous you) check back in every now and then and see what little marbles might be bouncin' around in my little ol noggin.
