Watch this video and then we can discuss afterwards:

HAHAHA!! You are SO totally funny, John McCain! Man, has your race for the White House turned into quite the gaffe laugh a minute, or what?? Your comparing of Sen. Obama to Britney and Paris!? *chuckle* Your comparison of Obama to the Messiah!? *snort* And your ad claiming Obama wants to put his face all over Mt. Rushmore and the Statue of Liberty!? *guffaw* If this President thing doesn't work out for ya, Sen. McCain, I am SURE the folks at Last Comic Standing will be giving you a call!

Now onto McCain's latest HILARIOUS attacks, featured in the video above, which center on how silly Obama is for only offering one solution in his energy plan, namely inflating tires. *LOL* (BTW, Mr. "I don't know the internet too good" McCain, you might want to have a staffer look up the definition of LOL, oh and BTW). He even has a funny little giveaway on "his" website that really drives home the humor. Seriously, Sen. McCain, you have to stop! I am bursting at the seems with laughter here!

Unfortunately, I, and many Americans like me, are not laughing WITH you, we are laughing AT you. The more you insist on going down this road of juvenile, inane, and baseless attacks against Sen. Obama, and the more you smile with that creepy, yellow-toothed smile of yours, the more we have to laugh at your pitifulness. This "tactic" of yours may work for a temporary, and false (more on that in a future post) bump in the polls, but do you REALLY think we the people are going to be fooled by this smear campaign yet again? Do you really think we are going to put up with this hilarity for 3 more months? If so, you are funnier than I could have ever given you credit.

FACTS ON "TIRE-PRESSURE-GATE":

  • Sen. Obama's plan for energy and the environment is WAY more complex than a tire pressure gauge, and is outlined here on his website.
  • Sen. McCain's plan to "Drill Here, Drill Now" (which, by the way, is actually a gem conjured up by Newt Gingrich) will result in %1 of American's energy needs in the year 2030. Proper tire pressure will result in a %3 to %4 reduction in energy needs RIGHT NOW.
  • The Department of Energy estimates that 1.2 billion gallons of fuel were wasted in 2005 as a result of driving on under-inflated tires.*
  • Fuel efficiency is reduced by 1% for every 3 PSI that tires are under-inflated.*
  • Proper tire inflation can save the equivalent of about 1 tank of gas per year.*
  • Proper tire inflation also reduces CO2 emissions.*
  • Experts estimate that 25% of automobiles are running on tires with lower than recommended pressure, because people don’t know how to check their tires or don’t realize that tires naturally lose air over time.*

Not to change the subject... But something that struck me about this clip was McCain complaining about Congress taking a 5 week vacation, and declaring that he would not allow them to go on vacation. Now I know campaigning is not the same as vacation, but when was the last time he was sitting in HIS senate seat, I wonder? And voting like he was elected to do?

Funny you should mention, here are the facts!

Apparently he has not voted since April the 8th, and has missed 399 votes in this 110th Congress alone. This amounts to 63% of the votes from this Congress missed, making him by far the most egregious offender in the Senate.

A list of the votes missed.
